Maverick Pride Scholarship

 

Dr. Guy Tillett served as the National American University Director of Alumni Services for 15 years, and worked for the University for nearly 50 years.  He dedicated his career to the successes of NAU students. Guy passed away in spring 2019. In his memory, the NAU Foundation is pleased to continue Maverick Pride scholarship to support undergraduate students who have committed to an NAU education and are close to receiving their degree.

 

Scholarship Information & Criteria:

Amount: $2,400

Distribution: $800 per quarter for three consecutive quarters

# Available for: 1 available per year (July)

 

Criteria:

1. Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, or be baccalaureate-seeking, at NAU at least half-time.

2. Have taken at least 90 credit hours at NAU at time of application.

3. Be within 45 credit hours of graduation.

4. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5, evaluated at the end of the spring quarter.

Other considerations may include:

1. Community / volunteer service activities.

2. Financial need.

To be submitted with application:

  • A 500-word essay that shares the impact you expect to make professionally and in your community in one year and in five years.
