Reference Page Examples - Webpage on a Website 

Do not use the copyright date from a webpage or website footer. If the statement "last updated" appears on a page, use that date if it applies to the information cited. If there is no separate date of publication on a webpage, treat the information as having no date (American Psychological Association [APA], 2020, p. 289).

Use this format for articles published in online news sources:
Pattern:
           Author, A. A. & Author, B.B. (year, Month day). Title of work. Website name. https://www.xxxxxxx
Example:
           Stewart, P. & Ali, Idrees. (2022, December 12). Burning through ammo, Russia using 40-year-old rounds, 
   
                   U.S. official says

Name of Group. (year, Month day). Title of document. Parent Agencies not present in the Author

Example A (one parent agency not present in the author element):

Example B (two parent agencies not present in the author element):

  • Note: Use this category if there is no other reference category that fits the type of reference and if the work has no parent or overarching publication (i.e. , journal, blog conference proceeding) other than the website itself.
Pattern:
Name of Group. (year, Month day). Title of document.  https://www.xxxxxxx
Example:
Medicins Sans Frontieres-Doctors Without Borders. (n.d.). Who we are

      https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/who-we-are 
 
*** Remember: Each source listed on the reference page must correspond to at least one in-text citation in the body of the paper; each in-text citation must correspond to a source listed on the reference page.
  • Note 1: Use this category if there is no other reference category that fits the type of reference and if the work has no parent or overarching publication (i.e., journal, blog conference proceeding) other than the website itself.
  • Note 2: Use the title as it appears on the webpage (usually in larger print before the text of the article). Do not use any different text that appears in the browser tab.
Pattern:
Name of Company or Organization. (year, Month day). Title of webpage.  https://www.xxxxxxx
Example:
Tableau Software. (n.d.). Why choose Tableau?  https://www.tableau.com/why-tableau
